Can you afford to miss out?

Most businesses can easily make significant savings - at least 10% of energy costs - by taking simple actions to improve the way energy use is managed. These savings are bottom line benefits, leading to direct increases in profit.

Waste disposal - a rising cost
Waste costs UK business an average of 4% of turnover. How much is it costing you?

With Landfill Tax now a central part of government fiscal policy, the cost of waste disposal is set to rise much more. Reducing the amount of waste you produce will reduce these costs.

Red tape can seriously damage your business
The amount and severity of Environmental Legislation is increasing - Duty of Care, Producer Responsibility, IPPC, Special Waste, Environment Act, Water Resources Act, EPA, Water Industry Act, LAAPC - the list is seemingly endless. Failure to comply with legislation could cost your business thousands in fines, result in senior management being imprisoned, and the damage to your image could be devastating.

It doesn't have to become that serious. We can guide you through the red tape and not only help you over the hurdles, but increase your profitability while we're doing it!!

Turn a problem into an opportunity

The number of business seeing the benefits of improving environmental performance is growing. Many companies, large and small, have adopted environmental policies. Others have sought third-party verification of their commitment to continual improvement in the form of the international standard ISO14001, or the European Eco-Management and Audit Scheme (EMAS).

Demonstrating a systematic approach to Environment Management means your business can see all the benefits of improved efficiency and keep you well within the law. Then you can claim the competitive edge for your business.

The Business Environment Centre - providing real solutions for the growing environmental management issues faced by industry and commerce.

An Environmental Review - a starting point

An Environmental Review is a simple, cost effective way of assessing your company's environmental performance.

A Review involves a short visit by one of our Environmental Business Advisors, which is followed up with a confidential written report. The report will identify areas where improvements in the use of raw materials and utilities can be made. In addition, areas of non-compliance with environmental legislation are identified, as well as the effectiveness of your company's methods of managing its environmental affairs.

The findings of the review are then translated into relevant recommendations and an action plan.

Does it make a difference?
Yes. Nearly all the Environmental Reviews we do lead to cost savings. A recent review of a local parcel carrier led to the identification of savings in vehicle fuel usage of over £50,000 per year - with minimal investment and a payback period of just three months.
